Suzanne Orr, born on July 24, 1966, in Albion, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her residence in Bedford, Indiana, on January 8, 2025. She was 58 years old.
Suzanne was the beloved daughter of Ruby Tomlinson (Ramey) and Billy Reed, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her grandparents and two brothers, Devon Hall and Darryl Hall.
Her husband lovingly remembers Suzanne of 23 years, Gary Orr; her three children, Ashley Polk (David George), Shayna Thompson (Evan), and Jackson Orr; and five cherished grandchildren: Eli Easterday, Treyton Easterday, Norah George, Otis Thompson, and June Thompson. She is also survived by her brother, Kelly Reed; her sisters, Lisa Hall and Teresa Reed; and her nephew, Rydell Hall.
Suzanne found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to music, attending services at Hillcrest Christian Church, and spending time with her family. Her kindness, friendliness, and empathy left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A devoted wife, mother, mamaw, sister, and friend, Suzanne will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary, with Pastor Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
