BEDFORD – A 21-year-old Bedford woman faces multiple felony charges following a domestic disturbance that occurred Wednesday, January 8th, at a residence on State Road 158.

The arrest stemmed from an incident where Henderson allegedly became involved in an altercation with her mother-in-law while the latter was caring for Henderson’s children. According to police reports, during the confrontation, Henderson’s children were struck multiple times, resulting in visible injuries.

Henderson had also written a note to her two children, “Mommy is very very sorry 4 accidentally hitting
you, when she was fighting with gigi”. Henderson confessed she had written the note.

A subsequent search of the residence by law enforcement led to the discovery of a glass smoking device with a white powdery substance that tested positive for meth. Officers also found 15 glass smoking devices, a scale, seven jars with burn marks, two tubes constructed for the use of smoking, five syringes, two straws, two rubber tubes, one torch, and one broken-up orange pill, though no drug-related charges were filed.

Henderson was taken into custody on Thursday, January 9th, after being interviewed by police at her workplace. She was transported to the Lawrence County Jail.

The Indiana Department of Child Services was involved in the investigation and responded to the scene.

Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
