SEYMOUR – A 21-year-old Seymour man was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a minor.
Enrique Gaspar Miguel faces a Level 3 felony charge of child molestation, according to Lieutenant C.J. Foster of the Seymour Police Department. The arrest stems from a December 10, 2024, report of an alleged sexual assault involving an 11-year-old child.
The Seymour Police Department investigated with the Indiana Department of Child Services and Susie’s Place, a child advocacy center in Bloomington.
Miguel was taken into custody on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, following interviews and investigation by authorities.
Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
