WASHINGTON – The Code/IT Academy is returning to Daviess County, offering a free 10-week course to prepare participants for IT certifications and careers.
Ivy Tech instructors lead the program and cover computer fundamentals, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and network and software use.
CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) is a beginner-level certification that teaches basic computer and technology skills. It covers how computers work, troubleshooting problems, keeping devices safe, and using software and networks. This certification is perfect for people interested in starting a career in IT, helping you decide if the IT field is right for you before diving into more advanced topics.
Classes begin February 18, 2025. Classes will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. from February 18 through April 8 at the Economic Development office on Main Street in Washington.
Registration is open now and closes on February 4.
