ORANGE CO. – Purdue University Extension and the Orange County Service Council have launched their 2025 Community Leadership Program, designed to develop knowledgeable and committed leaders within Orange County.

The comprehensive program, which aims to improve community quality of life through civic engagement, consists of nine daylong sessions running from March through December 2025. Sessions will cover crucial topics, including community leadership fundamentals, managing conflict, economic development, local government operations, and non-profit board management.

“We’re creating a network of willing, knowledgeable, and committed leaders to step up and make a difference in their community,” said program coordinator Tjhall, who can be reached at tjhall@purdue.edu for inquiries.

The program’s objectives include opening doors to community opportunities, increasing leadership diversity in public and non-profit sectors, and connecting current and emerging leaders. Sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and lunch will be provided.

Training dates are scheduled for March 26, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20, September 17, October 15, and November 19, with graduation set for December 10. The program cost is $375, with need-based scholarships available. Organizers encourage participants to seek employer or non-profit sponsorship for tuition assistance.
