Michigan City man arrested for possession of child pornography

MICHIGAN CITY- In May 2024, the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Lowell Post received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C). The tip reported three videos that allegedly contained Child Sexual Abuse Material (C.S.A.M.), and an Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (I.C.A.C.) investigation was initiated.

During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect who accessed the material resided in Michigan City, IN. Further investigation into the material was conducted while additional videos were located, and a search warrant was requested and granted in January 2025.  That search warrant was executed on Friday, January 17th, at an address on the 3100 block of Springland Ave, in Michigan City, and a suspect was identified.

Stephen Julius Terrell Morrow II

The suspect, Stephen Julius Terrell Morrow II, 29, from Michigan City, was interviewed and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the LaPorte County Jail, where he was preliminarily charged with possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony. The LaPorte County Prosecutor will determine final charges.

Those facing criminal charges are considered innocent unless convicted through due legal proceedings. Accusations alone do not imply guilt; the judicial system will evaluate the presented evidence to reach a verdict.
