Shawswick Elementary to host IREAD-3 information night for families

BEDFORD — Shawswick Elementary School will host an informational evening for families of second and third-grade students to discuss the upcoming IREAD-3 assessment. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, from 5-6 p.m. in the school library.

The evening will provide parents and guardians with valuable insights into the IREAD-3 assessment, which measures students’ reading skills at the third-grade level. Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from their child’s teacher, the school’s reading specialist, instructional coach, and principal.
  • Learn about the format and content of the IREAD-3 assessment.
  • See sample questions and become familiar with the types of tasks students will encounter.
  • Discover practical ways to help their child prepare for the assessment and build confidence.

Pizza will be provided for attendees. The school encourages families to RSVP by calling the office at 812-279-3115 to ensure adequate accommodations.
