BEDFORD – Seymour stole the show, crashing Bedford North Lawrence’s Senior Night celebration with a sweep of the Stars during high school swimming action on Tuesday night.
The Owls splashed to a 121-59 victory in the girls meet, then recorded a 126-57 win in the boys meet.
BNL managed only one win in each meet. In the boys, Garrett Gabhart claimed the 100-yard butterfly event in 54.34. Ava Lipp was victorious in the girls 100 backstroke in 1:05.56.
“Overall it was a good night for where we are at in the season,” BNL coach Adam Young said. “Seymour is very good on both sides this year.
“We said goodbye to a lot of seniors tonight. It’s really a special group, and I am going to miss every one of them when the season is over. We still have business to tend to and some great swimming still to come.”
BNL’s boys team will compete in the Hoosier Hills Conference meet on Feb. 1 at Jennings County.
