Sheriff Greg Day offering Sheriff’s Association Scholarships to aspiring criminal justice students

LAWRENCE CO. – Lawrence County Sheriff Greg Day has announced that the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association (ISA) will again offer college scholarships to qualified high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in criminal justice studies. The ISA will award approximately forty scholarships, each valued at $750, to eligible students across Indiana.

The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Scholarship Fund was established to support students committed to education and careers in law enforcement. The fund is dedicated to providing financial assistance to individuals passionate about making a difference in the criminal justice field.

Eligibility Requirements: To apply for one of these scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a resident of Indiana.
  • Be a current member of the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association (ISA) or a dependent child or grandchild of a current ISA member.
  • Attend an accredited college or university in Indiana.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours).
  • Major in a law enforcement-related field.

Application Process: Interested applicants can obtain the scholarship application from their high school counselor or the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. Deadline for Submissions: All scholarship applications must be completed and submitted to the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association by April 1, 2025.
