The trail features a smooth surface with 1.18 miles of asphalt and 0.09 miles of crushed aggregate. A new trailhead at Franklin Street provides convenient access with vehicle parking, a restroom, bike racks, and more.

This segment marks the first five to be completed in Phase 1 of the Monon South project. Phase 1 will create 20 miles of trail, connecting communities such as Borden, New Pekin, Salem, Campbellsburg, Saltillo, and Mitchell.

This new trail will offer residents and visitors a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, whether walking, biking, or simply taking a stroll.
