Denise Lorraine McFarland, 60, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2025, at her residence.
Born July 19, 1964, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Lois Chastain McFarland. Denise was of the Baptist faith and a Bedford North Lawrence Special Education graduate.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Denise is her niece and caregiver, Teresa Andis; nephews, Charlie Garland, Joe Garland, Clayton (Angela) Garland, and Kenneth Garland; niece, Kaylee George; special family friends, Terry Cummings and Rick Sexton; along with several great-great-nieces, nephews; and cousins.
Denise is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lois (Chastain) McFarland; brother, Johny McFarland; sister, Jennifer (Tom) Cady; brother, Zack McFarland; and nephew, JA Cady.
Teresa wants to give a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice who helped her through this end- of-life journey and for taking excellent care of her precious Denise. She is forever grateful. And a thank you to her wonderful cousin, Jody Watson, for always being there for her.
Visitation for Denise will be held at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family FuneralHomes, in Bedford on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery. Funeral Services for Denise will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, in Bedford.
