Mitchell man arrested on drug charges following domestic dispute

BEDFORD – On December 31, 2024, a domestic dispute at a residence on State Road 37 in Mitchell led to the arrests of Conan R. Farley and his father, Michael O. Farley.

The incident began with a disagreement over belongings between Conan Farley and his former partner, who had come to the residence to retrieve personal items. The situation escalated, resulting in accusations of battery and threats.

Officers from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and Mitchell Police Department responded to the scene. Conan Farley was initially detained and subsequently arrested on an outstanding parole warrant.

A subsequent search of the residence, conducted with a search warrant, uncovered evidence of drug possession.

Conan Farley was arrested on December 31, 2024, on a parole violation.

The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office, and a warrant was issued for Michael Farley. He was arrested on Monday, January 28, 2025, at 6:10 p.m. on charges of possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
