BLOOMINGTON– A Bloomington man was arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly setting fire to an emergency Narcan box outside the Monroe County Stride Center.
On Thursday, January 30, at approximately 4:30 a.m., the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call at 312 North Morton Street, the location of the Stride Center. Upon arrival, deputies found the fire extinguished, but the Narcan box sustained minor damage.

Witnesses identified 42-year-old Ean Busby as the individual responsible. Stride Center employees reported that Busby had attempted to gain entry shortly before the fire was reported but was denied. He then allegedly placed a “Slow” sign in front of the door and set the Narcan box on fire.
Deputies quickly located Busby in the area and arrested him. He was booked into the Monroe County Correctional Center on a charge of arson, a Level 4 felony.
