
MONROE CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Crider and Crider, Inc. plans to resume intersection improvement work along State Road 45/46 on or after Monday, February 3, just east of I-69 in Bloomington.

Crews will work to install highway lighting and signage along the newly constructed S.R. 45/46 reduced conflict intersection (RCI). Lighting and signage work are expected to be completed in early March, weather permitting. All lanes of S.R. 45/46 are anticipated to remain open while lighting and signage work are in progress. Short-term shoulder closures can be expected.
Off-ramp construction work continues from S.R. 45/46 onto Arlington Road. This portion of the project is expected to be completed in Fall 2025, weather permitting.
This intersection improvement project is part of a $9.5 million contract awarded to Crider and Crider in February 2024 and is currently scheduled for overall completion in Fall 2025.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
