
ELIZABETHTOWN- Yesterday, January 29, 2025, Investigators with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post arrested a 27-year-old Elizabethtown, Indiana man on an initial charge of possession of child pornography.
On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Jennings County Sheriff’s Office Investigators received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip indicated that an individual had been sharing and receiving pornographic images of children via a social media application. The investigators, who are part of the Internet Crimes Against Children-Indiana Task Force, were able to quickly identify the address in Jennings County where the images were shared and received. A suspect was then identified as Kordell T. Nienaber, 27, Elizabethtown, Indiana.
Yesterday, Investigators served a search warrant at Nienaber’s residence. As a result of the search warrant, additional evidence of the possession and distribution of child pornography was located. Nienaber was arrested on a charge of Possession of Child Pornography-Level 4 Felony. He was incarcerated in the Jennings County Jail, pending an initial appearance in the Jennings County Circuit Court.
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional charges are possible.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is a multi-agency task force comprised of law enforcement officers throughout Indiana who work together to target individuals who are committing crimes against children. The Indiana State Police manages and leads the ICAC Task Force.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
