INDIANA – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Division of Fish & Wildlife asks for the public’s help managing deer populations across the state. Residents are invited to participate in the Annual Deer Management Survey, available online.

The survey is being sent to individuals in the Division of Fish & Wildlife’s customer database and seeks input from deer hunters and other Indiana residents. Participants will be asked about their perceptions of deer populations in the state. Deer hunters will also be asked about their hunting and harvest behaviors, experiences, and views on various deer hunting regulations.
The survey, hosted on Qualtrics, can be accessed through a unique link to each participant.
The DNR estimates the survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete, though the length may vary depending on individual responses. Participation is voluntary, and respondents may skip any questions they prefer not to answer.
The survey will close on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
The DNR assures participants that their privacy is a priority. Contact information will not be linked to survey answers, and data will be kept secure. Questions about the survey can be directed to [email address removed].
The DNR emphasizes the importance of the survey results for future deer management decisions in Indiana. The information gathered will help the department better understand deer populations and the needs of the public.
