Wayne David Jones, 78, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel Hospital.
Born August 26, 1946, in Mitchell, he was the son of Reese and Alice Aleen (Eisenmenger) Jones.
Wayne was a graduate of Shawswick High School. He worked as an electrician at Carpenter Body Works for over 20 years and retired from GE. He enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions, or any other sales. He loved his family, and his grandkids were the light of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Jones of Mitchell; children, Jamie Jones Barnett of Mitchell and Jack R. (Michell) Jones of Jackson County; grandchildren, Megan Rudolph, Jacqueline Burnette, Kyle Jones, and Kayley Hacker; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Phyllis Harris of Bedford.
His parents and siblings, Abby Jones, Bob Jones, Reese Jones, Jr., Mamie Coffman, Dorothy Goen, Violet Jones, Maxine Elgin, and infant sister, Edith Mitman, preceded him.
Cremation has been chosen with a graveside service held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, at Bryantsville Cemetery.
