BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners approved a contract with Burhcam Surveying on Tuesday for section corner perpetuation near the Virgil I Grissom Municipal Airport.
Commissioner Jeff McKnight stated that 27 sections need to be addressed, some of which have never been established. “I believe they have never been established, and we need to get them straightened out,” McKnight explained.
This work is a crucial step in a more extensive survey of the airport and is necessary for securing future funding for airport projects.
The $19,000 project will be funded from the survey budget, supported by fees collected from recorded documents, deeds, and mortgages.
