INDIANA – The U.S. Department of Labor now accepts applications for the 2025 HIRE Vets Medallion Award. This federal award recognizes employers who commit to recruiting, employing, and retaining veterans.
The award criteria include various metrics, such as veteran hiring and retention rates, the availability of veteran-specific resources, leadership programs, dedicated HR staff, and compensation or tuition assistance programs. Requirements vary depending on the employer’s size (small, medium, or large).
Employers can apply online at HIREVets.gov. The application period runs through April 30, 2025.
