MONROE CO – A Bedford man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Monroe County.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident scene at State Road 446 and Dutch Ridge Road intersection at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Upon arrival, they discovered a 2006 Ford F350 off the roadway and into the woods.
The driver, identified as Leroy Terrell of Bedford, was found at the scene. The Monroe County Coroner’s Office pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation suggests that slick road conditions contributed to the accident, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
Terrell’s family, the Monroe County Fire Protection District, Lawrence County Fire District, Ellettsville Fire Department, Pleasant Run Fire Department, and other affected fire departments are offered condolences.
