BNL’s Sherrill named All-HHC

BNL sophomore Miley Sherrill was named All-HHC by the league coaches.

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence sophomore Miley Sherrill was named to the All-Hoosier Hills Conference First Team by the league coaches.

Sherrill averaged 10.3 points (leading the Stars in scoring) and 3.7 rebounds per game as BNL finished 7-16 overall (3-3 in the HHC) and advanced to the 4A sectional final at Seymour. She was named Honorable Mention last season.

The rest of the First Team included Floyd Central’s Elise Coleman, Brinley Clark and Samara Miller; Jennings County’s Mollie Ernstes and Etta Young; Jeffersonville’s Kelis Dansby and Makenna Taylor; Seymour’s Sophie Skidmore; and New Albany’s Emily Spainhour.

The Highlanders and Panthers shared the league title with a 5-1 records.

BNL junior Trinidy Bailey was named Honorable Mention after averaging 5.2 points and a team-high 4.9 rebounds.
