JASONVILLE– Jasonville residents will soon have new recreational spaces if this crowdfunding campaign reaches its goal of raising $10,000 by April 18, 2025. If successful, the project, led by the City of Jasonville, will receive a matching grant as part of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s (IHCDA) CreatINg Places program.4

“We are thrilled at the prospect of improving Hanna Field so that residents and visitors alike can enjoy the benefits of physical activity,” said Matt Rayburn, Chief Real Estate Development Officer at IHCDA. “These pickleball and basketball courts will make exercise more accessible, attainable, and fun for the entire community.”
Funds from this campaign will be used to construct a new basketball court and two new pickleball courts on the west side of the Hanna Field sports complex.
“Hanna Field in Jasonville is the perfect location for additional recreational activities,” said Jasonville Mayor Eric Siepman. “It is a place where there is something for everyone to do! The proceeds of this fundraiser will help us build pickleball and basketball courts and assist us with a much-needed playground.”
Since the CreatINg Places program began in 2016, projects have raised more than $12.3 million in crowd-granting funds and an additional $10.3 million in matching IHCDA funds. The program is available to projects located in Indiana communities. Non-profit entities (with 501c3 or 501c4 status) and local government units are eligible to apply. Eligible projects must have a minimum total development cost of $10,000, where the recipient will receive $5,000 in IHCDA matching funds should it successfully raise $5,000 through Patronicity. IHCDA will provide matching grant funds up to $50,000 per project.
