Community services and resources are a highlight at the 2025 Women’s Expo

BEDFORD– The 2025 Women’s Expo, presented by Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK, 102.5 Litefm, and 1340 WBIW, will take place on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County.

The event will feature vendors from essential community services and organizations, providing valuable resources and support. Attendees can connect with local healthcare providers, nonprofits, and service groups dedicated to women’s wellness, safety, and empowerment. Admission is free, making it a great opportunity to explore local services.

Lawrence County CASA Program

Lawrence County CASA Program is a volunteer-powered organization that represents the interests of child victims of abuse and neglect. As a CASA volunteer, YOU can make a difference in the life of a child that has been a victim of abuse or neglect. YOU can stand in the gap. You can be their voice. People often ask, “Who can be a CASA volunteer?” If you are over the age of 21 and can pass a criminal background check, YOU can. There is no experience necessary. Altrusa is an international non-profit organization that makes our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.
Altrusa offers an opportunity to make a real difference in Bedford. They undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising, and international projects each year.

Hope Resource Center

Do you know someone who might be pregnant? Confirming pregnancy with a healthcare professional is the first step. Hope Resource Center provides free testing and ultrasounds.  
Are you at risk for an STI/STD? Many are unaware they are infected. Make an appointment today for free confidential testing. New parent? Or soon to be? Parenting is tough enough — don’t do it alone. Hope offers parenting classes and support groups. Be sure to stop by their booth and shop for infant and children’s clothing at a low price!
