DAVIESS CO. – A 17-year-old, identified as John ‘JD’ Moore, was tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash in Daviess County on Saturday.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 1100 East and County Road 800 North. They found a vehicle overturned and partially submerged in a stream within a deep ditch.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial investigation by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office indicates that the vehicle left the west side of the road, struck a fence line and guardrail, went down a steep embankment, and then flipped over, landing on its roof in the water.
