
BEDFORD—The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County has announced its annual Youth of the Year competition, which offers local teens the chance to share their stories, inspire others, and win scholarships and prizes.
The competition is open to club members aged 14-18. Participants are required to complete a short entry form and submit a 500-word essay responding to one of three prompts: “My Club Experience,” “What Matters to Me,” or “Personal Growth.”
The submission deadline is March 4th. Finalists will be announced on March 20th, and the Youth of the Year Showcase will be held at The Teen Center on March 27th.
The first-place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a $250 Amazon gift card. Additional prizes will be awarded to second, third, fourth, and fifth-place winners.
Finalists will also be considered for the Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year State Competition.
