White River Humane Society to host ‘Bone Appetit’ fundraiser on April 12

BEDFORD – The White River Humane Society has announced its upcoming “Bone Appetit” fundraising event, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.

The annual fundraiser aims to generate critical funding for the shelter’s general operations. According to event materials, the organization is an independent non-profit that relies on community generosity to aid lost, homeless, and abandoned dogs and cats in Lawrence County. The shelter reported caring for over 1,100 animals in 2024.

The evening’s festivities will begin at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. Entertainment includes a performance by Magician Daniel Schaffer at 7 p.m., followed by a live auction at 8 p.m. The event will also feature a silent auction and cash bar.
