Community Crossings: Investing in Indiana’s Infrastructure
Launched in 2016, the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program is a partnership between INDOT and local communities, both urban and rural, aimed at enhancing infrastructure, stimulating economic development, creating jobs, and strengthening local transportation networks.
INDOT conducts two Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) calls for projects each year, one in January and the other in July. Eligible projects include road and bridge preservation, with ADA compliance, and material costs for chip sealing and crack filling. It is important to note that CCMG awards state funds for construction only; maintenance of traffic is part of construction, and contingency fees on contractor contracts are not included.
