MITCHELL– Motorists are advised that Stumphole Bridge Road will be temporarily closed today for culvert replacement work.
The closure will affect the section of Stumphole Bridge Road located between Blue Springs and State Road 50 West.
The Lawrence County Highway Department has announced the temporary closure to facilitate necessary infrastructure improvements. Crews will be working throughout the day to replace the culvert.
The department anticipates that Stumphole Bridge Road will reopen to traffic by the end of the day. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes during the closure.
The Lawrence County Highway Department apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
