JACKSON CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Olco, Inc. plans to close US 31 just north of Reddington on or after Monday, March 31, to complete a small structure rehabilitation project in Jackson County.
The closure will take place approximately 6.7 miles north of US 50 between East County Road 1200 North and County Road 1150 North and, weather permitting, will be complete in mid-May.
Signage will be placed in the area before construction starts. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows US 50 to State Road 11 to State Road 46 to US 31.
This project is part of a contract awarded to Olco in September 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
