ISP traffic stop leads to drug arrest

DAVIESS CO. – On Wednesday morning, March 12th, Master Trooper Jarrod Lents stopped a vehicle on State Road 57 near National Highway for a traffic infraction.

Trooper Lents contacted the driver, 26-year-old William R. Gomez Fajardo. While running a BMV check, Gomez Fajardo’s return showed he was wanted out of Dubois and Knox Counties on multiple warrants.

During a search of the vehicle, suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were located inside. Gomez Fajardo was transported to the Daviess County jail and held without bond.

Fajardo is facing charges of possession of marijuana, wanted on a Dubois County warrant for dealing cocaine, dealing on a narcotic drug, possession of cocaine, possession of a narcotic drug, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. He was also arrested on a Knox County warrant for possession of a legend drug and possession of a controlled substance.
