Sharon Diane Mundy, 80, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at White River Lodge.
She was born July 21, 1944, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Hershel and Bessie (Deaver) Mundy.
Sharon graduated from Huron High School in 1962. She retired from PRD, Inc., as a press operator. Sharon was a member of the Bryantsville Church of Christ. She was a huge fan of IU basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. She also loved bingo and going to casinos. Sharon liked to have fun and never met a stranger. But above all, she loved her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Shayna Peña of Bedford; grandson, Ari Peña of Bedford; brother, Noble (Phyllis) Mundy; best friend, Linda Sue Reynolds of Mitchell; several nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and nephews.
Her parents and infant brother, Gary Mundy, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center, with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be in Bryantsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
