
MONROE CO. – The Monroe County CARES Board has released the 2025 CARES grant application for agencies working to prevent and reduce substance misuse in Monroe County.

The Monroe County CARES Board distributes grants each year to local agencies that reduce substance misuse in prevention, education, intervention, treatment, and justice areas. Funding for the grants comes from the Monroe County Drug-Free Communities Fund, which is comprised of drug and alcohol offender fees collected in Monroe County.
Monroe County CARES is the local coordinating council of the Governor’s Commission for a Drug Free Indiana. It was established to coordinate, support, and promote local efforts to prevent and reduce harmful involvement with alcohol and other drugs.
