Bedford Firefighter Matthew Wronowicz officially promoted to lieutentant

BEDFORD— The Bedford Board of Works and Safety unanimously approved firefighter Matt Wronowicz’s permanent status as a lieutenant during its meeting at the StoneGate Arts and Education Center on Tuesday night.

Fire Chief Luke Pinnick recommended the promotion, highlighting Wronowicz’s strong performance during his probationary period.

“Lieutenant Matthew J. Wronowicz was promoted to lieutenant with a one-year probationary period on March 4, 2024,” Pinnick said. “Lieutenant Wronowicz has completed his probationary year, and he has received high marks on all of his evaluations. Lieutenant Wronowicz has met all the requirements set forth by the City of Bedford Fire Department. I believe Lieutenant Wronowicz will be a great asset to the fire department, and I would ask the board to accept his permanent status in his position as lieutenant.”

The board voted unanimously to approve the promotion.

Wronowicz’s promotion reflects his dedication and successful completion of department standards during his probationary period.
