Obituary: Anthony Gene Flynn

December 25, 1954 – March 16, 2025

Anthony Gene Flynn, 71, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his residence after a two-year battle with prostate cancer.

Born December 25, 1954, in Bedford, he was the son of George Edgar Flynn and Vida Marie (Bridges) Flynn.

Anthony was a mechanic. From a young age, folks came from all around for him to work
on their vehicles. He was also a mechanic in Texas.

Anthony was married to Shirley for 52 happy years.

Anthony loved fishing, hunting, cooking, canning, and gardening. He never met a
stranger and loved God with all his heart.

His children survive Anthony Aleah (Bruce) Flynn of Washinton, Indiana, and Rachel (Joe) Eads, of Bedford; grandchildren Sean (Callie) Flynn, Texas, Shane (Reannah ak Regina) Graves, Texas, Shela (Dillion) Rogers, of Missouri, Floyd Passmore, of Texas, Elena (Chris) Sutton of Indiana, Bobbisue (Brad) Donohoo, of Indiana, Anthony (Caitlin) Carrico, of Indiana, Brandy Eads and George Eads, of Indiana; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive him; his siblings Cher (Bill) Schneider, Ohio, Janice Banks Springville, Gloria (Herb) Phillips, Bedford, and Lowell (Brenda) Flynn Springville, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles, whom he cherished very much.

Anthony was preceded in death by his spouse, Shirley Flynn, his parents, George and Vida Marie Flynn, and a brother, Gary Flynn.

Cremation was chosen.
