INDIANA – According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), a nationwide recall for nearly 200,000 cans of green beans sold at Target stores in 21 states due to potential foreign matter contamination.

The affected product is the 14.5-ounce cans of Good & Gather Cut Green Beans. Consumers are urged to check their pantries for the following details:

The recalled green beans were distributed to Target locations in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The FDA has classified this as a Class II recall, indicating a potential risk of temporary adverse health consequences if the product is consumed.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled cans are advised to immediately dispose of them or return them to their local Target store for a full refund.
