ODON– The Town of Odon has issued a mandatory boil water order for residents in the State Road 58 area, stretching from West Street to the Odon Fire Station.
The order was issued due to a potential contamination risk in the water supply.
Affected water customers are urged to take precautions to ensure their safety. The boil order will remain in effect for at least three days or until the town receives two consecutive clean water test results confirming the water is safe for consumption.
During this period, residents are advised to use bottled water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and other purposes. Alternatively, tap water can be made safe by bringing it to a full, rolling boil for at least one minute before using it. This boiling process effectively eliminates any potentially harmful bacteria or microorganisms.
