Orleans Town-Wide Spring Clean Sweep Week, is underway

ORLEANS – Orleans Town-Wide Spring Clean Sweep Week is underway this week, and community leaders are encouraging all residents to participate in the clean-up efforts.

Town crews are picking up large items of discard this week. Discard items should be placed curbside for easy pickup.  In addition, a large dumpster has also been set up at the Orleans Town Garage for resident use, with extended hours this week and through noon this Saturday. Residents are welcome and encouraged to bring any unwanted or junk-type items they want to dispose of and place them in the dumpster.

Storm cleanup is still ongoing, and those with limbs, brush, and yard debris are being asked to place those items at curbside or next to the street this week for pick-up. The brush pile at the town lake area is also still open for residents to take those types of items there for disposal.

The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is also participating in this special community event and asking everyone’s help to make our hometown beautiful by cleaning, sprucing, fixing, and painting all around town. Youth groups, service groups, businesspeople, families, and churches are welcome and urged to join in efforts to sweep the town clean!
