JASPER– The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a man who fled on foot following a traffic stop by Indiana State Police on Tuesday.
Authorities are seeking Michael Nelson, who has an active warrant out for his arrest. He was last seen at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the Hucks convenience store “at the top of the Y” in Jasper.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office urges residents to exercise caution and not approach Nelson if he is seen. Instead, they should immediately contact their local law enforcement agency.
As of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office indicated that Nelson may have traveled to the Spencer/Perry County area.
Anyone with information regarding Michael Nelson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office or their local authorities.
