INDIANA – Frito-Lay has voluntarily recalled a limited number of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips due to a potential undeclared milk allergen. The recall affects fewer than 1,300 bags of the 13-ounce chips, which may contain nacho cheese-flavored chips produced with milk.

The company announced the recall on Wednesday, emphasizing that while no allergic reactions have been reported, consumers with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity should avoid consuming and discard the product immediately.
The affected chips were distributed to select retailers in 13 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Consumers who purchased the chips on or after March 7 should check the “guaranteed fresh” date, as all recalled bags have a date of May 20.
Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo based in Plano, Texas, is taking this precautionary measure to ensure consumer safety. The company urges consumers with milk allergies to exercise caution and dispose of any potentially affected products.
