INDIANAPOLIS – Here’s what to expect next week on the I-69 Finish Line corridor.
As announced late last year, minor construction activities will continue throughout spring and summer 2025 to officially complete the I-69 Finish Line project. Much of this work will occur off mainline I-465 and I-69, within right-of-way or on the shoulders adjacent to travel lanes. Only minor traffic disruptions are anticipated.
- Starting Monday, March 31, weather permitting:
- Lane closures and traffic shifts will occur on I-465 eastbound between Mooresville Road and the White River for pavement grooving. Three lanes will shift between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, and four lanes will change between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. overnight. This work is anticipated to continue for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.
- Double-lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-69 between Southport Road and Epler Avenue. Lane closures will continue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday, April 4, as construction crews complete shoulder grading and drainage work.
- Daily single-lane closures will occur southbound I-69 between County Line Road and Fairview Road through Friday, April 4. Lane closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as construction crews complete underdrain cleaning and inspection.
- Mobile barrier wall patching is planned on the shoulders of eastbound and westbound I-465 between Mann Road and I-65. Watch for active crews between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. This work will continue for the next two to three weeks.
- Intermittent double-lane closures are scheduled under the bridges on I-465 westbound through mid-April. Restrictions will occur one bridge at a time.
- Starting Tuesday, April 2, through early May, eastbound I-465 from I-69 to U.S. 31 will experience a traffic shift. During overnight hours, this area will be reduced from three lanes to two.
- On Friday, April 4, at 9 p.m., through Sunday, April 6, at 5 a.m., eastbound entrance ramps to I-465 at Mann Road, Harding Street, and U.S. 31 will be closed. All eastbound exit ramps from I-465 will remain open.
