Bloomington man released on bond after charged with sexually assaulting 14-year-old

BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man, Christopher Robert Wallace Jackson, 37, was arrested on Wednesday, March 19, on multiple felony charges of sexual assault involving a 14-year-old girl.

He was released from jail the same day after posting 10 percent of a $10,500 bond. Jackson appeared in Monroe Circuit Court 2 for an initial court hearing on Friday, March 28. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was placed on pretrial monitoring.  He is scheduled to appear on May 15 for a pretrial conference at 2:00 p.m. A public defender will represent him.

According to a detective’s affidavit, the arrest followed a forensic interview in which the girl detailed instances of Jackson forcing her to engage in sexual acts. The girl also told police she had been afraid to report the incidents.

Jackson faces two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, child solicitation, and vicarious sexual gratification. His bond was $10,500, and he posted the required $1,500 cash to secure his release.
