
ORANGE CO. – Deputy Zac Andry, who was critically wounded in a January shooting, is set to return home on April 9th, according to an announcement from his wife, Darian Andry. The news comes after months of intensive recovery following the incident.

He will be escorted home from Louisville by fellow officers.
Deputy Andry was shot four times, including once in the head, during a traffic stop on January 3rd at the intersection of US 150 and State Road 56. The suspect, Austin Schepers, fled the scene and was later killed by law enforcement in Louisville.
“After a very long 3 months, our hometown hero, my husband, will be discharged and coming home on April 9th,” Darian Andry shared in a social media post.
She also requested privacy for the family as they adjust to their “new lives at home,” emphasizing that unannounced visitors would not be welcome.
“Please respect our privacy as we adjust to our new lives at home and DO NOT just show up unannounced, or you will be asked to leave.”
Despite the long road to recovery, Darian Andry expressed gratitude for the community’s support, prayers, and outpouring of love . She described her husband as her “miracle and superhero.”
