PUTNAM CO.– A criminal investigation conducted by the Putnamville State Police Police Division has landed a Greencastle man behind bars.
Ernest J. Trumpold, 55, faces two counts of Public Nudity, a Class B misdemeanor.
The investigation was initiated after Master Trooper Detective Ryan Winters of the Putnamville State Police Post received reports from several residents in the 400 block of Manhattan Road about a male being nude in public. The investigation revealed that Trumpold had publicly exposed himself and was seen by both adults and children.
The Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against Trumpold on March 31, 2025. Trumpold was arrested on an active warrant without incident on two counts of public nudity and taken to the Putnam County Jail. He later posted bond.
All criminal defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
