
ORLEANS– Get ready to celebrate spring with the 55th Annual Orleans Dogwood Parade, set to blossom on Saturday, April 26th, at 2:00 p.m. Organizers are now accepting entries for the beloved community event, which will follow the theme “Dogwoods Thrive in 2025.”
The parade will feature a variety of categories, including floats, political entries, walking groups, equestrian units, classic and antique vehicles, bands, and more. Participants are encouraged to showcase their creativity and community spirit in line with the year’s theme.
The parade will commence from the Orleans Jr-Sr. High School, located on the northern edge of town, will also serve as the staging area. Line-up for the parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 1:00 p.m. The entries will be judged at approximately 1:00 p.m.
The parade route will take participants down Maple Street (State Road 37 South) and through the historic downtown area of Orleans, providing a scenic backdrop for the festivities.
Those interested in participating can now obtain entry forms through several convenient avenues. Forms are available on the official Dogwood Festival website, www.orleansdogwoodfestival.com. They can also be found inside The Orleans Progress Examiner newspaper and at the Orleans Town offices.
