Streets closed in Orleans due to flooding

ORLEANSThe Town of Orleans has announced the closure of two streets due to water overflowing the roadways caused by ongoing flooding.

Authorities have reported that Adams Street is closed to all traffic between Second and Fourth Streets due to significant water accumulation on the road surface.

Monroe Street is also closed at this time between Third and Fourth Streets for the same reason.

Town officials are urging residents to exercise extreme caution when driving in the area and to be aware that minor to significant flooding is occurring.

Motorists are reminded not to move any barricades that have been put in place for their safety.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and avoid these closed sections of Adams and Monroe Streets until further notice. Updates on the road closures will likely be provided as the floodwaters recede.
