COLUMBUS – Chris Quisenberry scored four goals while powering Columbus East to a 4-0 victory over Bedford North Lawrence during boys high school soccer action on Tuesday.
Quisenberry struck twice in each half, including two clinching goals in the first four minutes of the second half, as the Olympians (6-2-1) improved to 2-0 in the Hoosier Hills Conference.
Quisenberry got on the board at 19:56 of the first half, then gave East a 2-0 lead at intermission with a goal at 13:22. He put the game away with second-half goals at 37:39 and 36:04.
“He’s extremely skilled and very fast,” BNL coach Logan Jackson said. “He just ran through us a lot. They hit us early and buried us. But give our kids credit, they didn’t quit, they work hard. We learned some things to try out.”
The Stars (3-3-2 overall, 0-2-0 in the HHC) will host Jennings County on Thursday.
