SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence continued its offensive surge with an 8-1 triumph over Trinity Lutheran during boys high school soccer action on Saturday.
The Stars stormed to a 7-0 lead at halftime on the way to their second straight win. Adriano Sullivan recorded a hat trick in less than 16 minutes, while Isaiah Conner added two goals.
“Dominating win,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “It was a narrow field so we weren’t able to work the wings how we like. We had to resort to more down the middle. We did a good job of crashing and cleaning up shots.
“Our back line was solid for us as expected. It’s good to have some momentum going.”
Sullivan tallied his three at 36:20 (off a Joseph Brazzell crossing pass), 31:00 (on a breakaway) and 24:30 (via a Grant Beyers assist). The rest of the first-half goals came from Conner (23:19), Hiram Mullis (20:50), Brazzell (7:30) and Karter West (punching in a deflection off the goalie’s save at 2:30).
Conner connected at 13:59 of the second half.
The Cougars fell to 1-5-2.
BNL (3-3-2) will visit Edgewood on Monday.
