Early voting continues in Lawrence County

LAWRENCE CO. – Early walk-in voting for the November 8th general election continued in Lawrence County.

You can vote from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. until 2:20 p.m. on Saturday at the Lawrence County Registration Office at Courthouse Plaza.

As of Friday, Lawrence County Clerk Billie Tumey reported that 1,049 residents had cast their ballots for candidates during early voting. The Voter Registration office has sent out 1,1491 absentee ballots to voters.

Saturday early voting is scheduled for October 29th and November 5th from 8:30 a.m. until 2:20 p.m. at Courthouse Plaza and at the Mitchell Community Center at 101 Tom Green Drive.

Voters need to show an Indiana driver’s license, an Indiana ID, or other photo ID issued by the state of Indiana or the US government. 

The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.

Voters can vote on that day at one of six Voting Centers:

  • The Lawrence County Courthouse lobby, at 916 15th Street in Bedford
  • Parkview Intermediate in the gym, at 2024 West 16th Street in Bedford
  • Needmore Elementary in the gym, at 278 Trogdon Lane in Bedford
  • Bedford North Lawrence High School cafeteria, 595 Star Boulevard in Bedford
  • Lawrence County Fairgrounds Expo Building, 11265 State Road 50 West, Bedford
  • Mitchell Community Center, 101 Tom Green Drive in Mitchell.
