BLOOMINGTON – Seldom Rest Orchard run by Marie and Jeremiah Wagler planted their first tree in 2002 right after they got married. They are the featured vendors this week at the Bloomington Farmers’ Market.
Through the remainder of the season, the Market begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. at Showers Commons located at 401 North Morton Street in Bloomington.
Their orchard is located on a 130-acre farm that is shared with Jeremiah’s brother.
About 55 acres are devoted to the orchard, which contains about 70 peach trees, 70 apple trees, 25 plum trees, and 50 cherry trees. They also harvest blueberries from their 65 blueberry bushes.
Marie and Jeremiah work in the orchard with their family.
