BATESVILLE — A Bloomington man was arrested after investigators say he choked and stabbed his mother multiple times.
Police arrested 22-year-old Dalton Hall on multiple charges including attempted murder, aggravated battery, and strangulation.
He is currently being held in the Ripley County jail where he is being held on a $1 million cash bond.
The charges against Hall stem from a stabbing incident that occurred around 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 1 in a Golden Villa Apartment on West Boehringer Street.
Police responded to the apartment after a family member requested a welfare check. Once inside they found Mulcahy laying on her bedroom floor with stab wounds on her neck and upper body. A bloody knife was found on the foot of her bed. Police rendered medical first aid and she was transported to a trauma center in Indianapolis. Mulcahy told police and EMS workers that Hall, her son, had choked and stabbed her.
